In hopes of encouraging the father-daughter relationship the Father-Daughter Scholarship In Memory of Richard J. Meyer was created in 2003 to honor young women who truly understand the significance and importance of the father-daughter bond. Through an essay or video application, daughters express their appreciation for their relationship with their father. Thus far, 44 young women have received scholarships totaling over $24,000.
